Quality management and policy

The process of implementing the international ISO standards is ongoing. The initiative is being carried out in order to improve the services the organisation provides, to strengthen the company's standing with local and international partners, and to raise the quality of the work performed.

To implement the standards and keep them in working order, a quality management department was established at the plant, which leads the implementation of all three standards.

Within the project, a quality policy, an occupational health and safety policy, and an environmental and ecological policy were drawn up. Methodological instructions (MI), process description documents (PD) and standard operating procedures (SOP) were also developed.

The threats and principal risks facing the plant were identified. An emergency and crisis plan for eliminating risks was drawn up, and corrective actions were planned whose timely execution reduces the company's risk factors to a minimum.

What makes the process exceptional is that it runs both on territory controlled by the Georgian side and in Abkhazia. Despite numerous obstacles, Enguri HPP successfully passed ISO recertification and retained its certificates in all three areas.
