The First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Romeo Mikautadze, met representatives of the Austrian company Verbund, who are in Georgia to introduce digital management at Enguri HPP. The project is currently at its first stage, which involves an in-depth analysis of the existing situation and the preparation of the terms of reference needed for the next stage.

According to First Deputy Minister Romeo Mikautadze, moving Enguri HPP to digital management is of the utmost importance for its more efficient, safe, responsive and sustainable operation. By the time the energy exchange opens, the shortcomings and risks associated with human factors will also have been reduced to a minimum.

Representatives of the Austrian company will also hold an information meeting at Georgian State Electrosystem. A visit by the foreign specialists to the territory of occupied Abkhazia is also planned, so that they can see the Enguri HPP structures located there for themselves.
