In order to inspect the diversion tunnel and, if necessary, carry out cleaning works on site, Enguri HPP will shut down for several days from 2 April. Draining the diversion tunnel and surveying it in detail is also needed for the final phase of stage 4 of the Enguri HPP rehabilitation, so that the necessary works can be defined precisely.

After the inspection and survey of the tunnel, which is expected to last until 10 April this year, Enguri HPP will resume normal operation. This process will cause no inconvenience to the public in terms of electricity supply.
